Staunton State Park 5/12/18
Taryn and I got out for our first hike of the season. We did a 9…maybe a 10…mile round trip hike in the early morning after it had been raining all night. At least the trails weren’t muddy 😉
Weather was perfect. It wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t muggy…thank God! We hiked to the lake and had lunch before returning. Really the only downside for me was my shins hurt like hell. I guess I haven’t been using them as much as I’m supposed to. More stretching is needed. Also a very sore neck but that was probably due to how I was carrying my camera.
Perfect hike to start the year. Despite being sore the next day, I’m excited to get out this summer and get more in. Personal Goal: Loose 30lbs.
Gear taken: Day pack and camera.
